You Exist
You exist in the hollow ache of my arms that long for your weight.
In my eyes that search for you and in my fingers that still feel yours.
In the tingle of my lips that crave your soft cheek.
You exist in the line still running down the center of my belly, my body once your vessel.
In the blood that still trickles and the milk that still leaks.
In the now carved out space in my heart, in the lump in my throat.
You exist in my dreams, in the clouds, in the grains of sand under my toes.
In the faces of the stone lions and of every little boy I see.
In the pages of my journal, in the words that inhabit them and in pauses between my thoughts.
You exist in the salt of my tears, in the nighttime stars and the glowing pink skies.
You are nowhere.
But you exist.
Everywhere.
